The Development of a 6G Connection Has Started!
5G connection is still something "new". Not all countries have 5G connections. Even smartphones and gadgets that support 5G are only starting to emerge this year. But that turned out to not stop the ambitions of some parties to directly develop a 6G connection.
LG along with the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) has reportedly opened a research center for the development of 6G connections in South Korea. They are reported to have ordered a lot of equipment, ranging from high-end SoC, to other equipment for the development of this 6G connection.
CTO LG stated that LG began doing research so that it could become a pioneer on the upcoming 6G connection. In addition to LG in Korea, China also stated that it would start 6G research in 2020. Compared to 5G connections, 6G connections will be even faster with the target speed reaching 1TB/s.
By starting to develop 6G connections first, LG can be faster in completing 6G development from China. Until now there is no estimate when the 6G connection developed by LG will be complete, but don't expect too much 6G to be ready in the next 1-2 years, because the development of such networks will usually take a very long time.
